How to Change the Oil on a 2007 Honda Civic
The engine oil in a 2007 Honda Civic is designed to lubricate the internal engine parts and prevent friction. As time passes, dirt accumulates in the engine oil and it loses its ability to properly lubricate engine components. This oil should be changed every 3000-miles or 3-months. The oil filter should also be changed along with the engine oil. Engine oil and replacement oil filters are available from auto parts stores and Honda dealerships.

Raise the front of the vehicle using the automotive jack and support it with jack stands. Chock the rear wheels. Place a drain pan underneath the engine. Crawl underneath the vehicle and remove the oil drain plug using a metric box-end wrench. Allow the oil to drain into the pan and replace the drain plug once the flow of oil stops.
