1
Plug the vacuum into a working power supply and turn it on.
-
2
Turn the power switch to the "off" position if the vacuum doesn't work or function normally. Ensure the dirt bag has been emptied and replaced securely. If the bag is loose or full of dirt and debris, the vacuum may suffer from reduced suction.

-
3
Locate the secondary filter behind the grill in the bag compartment, remove it and clean it. Wash the filter in warm water and allow it to dry before replacing it in the vacuum.
-
4
Unplug the vacuum if it still is not working correctly. Turn it over, and use a screwdriver to remove the bottom plate. Check the belt. If the belt is cracked, broken or has slipped, replace it.
-
5
Use scissors to remove any fibers, hair or string that may be caught on the agitator brushes, impeding their movement.
-
6
Check all hoses and nozzles for possible obstructions. Clear any blockages and wipe the nozzles and ends of the hoses clean with a damp cloth.
