How to Install a Windows Server 2000 on an HP Mini 2133

Windows 2000 Server is an operating system designed by the Microsoft corporation intended for use in businesses. If you own an HP Mini 2133, you can install Windows 2000 Server provided that you have the installation disc. You can install Windows 2000 Server on your HP Mini 2133 in about 45 minutes.

Things You'll Need

• Windows 2000 Server installation disc
• Product ID

Instructions

1. Insert your installation disc into your HP Mini 2133 and start your computer.

2. Press any key to boot from CD.

3. Press Enter at the "Setup" screen.

4. Thoroughly read the Windows licensing agreement, then press F8 to accept it.

5. Press "C" to create a partition for use by Windows 2000 Server.

6. Select "Format partition by using the NTFS file system."

7. Enter your regional and personal information.

8. Enter your 25-digit product-ID code.

9. Enter your computer's name and desired password.

10. Select "Typical" or "Custom" network settings depending on your preference.

11. Choose a domain user name and password.
