How to Disconnect Onstar From a 2008 Chevy Colorado

OnStar is a communications device installed in some vehicles such as the 2008 Chevy Colorado. The device is connected to a service that helps its customers get emergency response in case of an accident, directions and GPS guidance in case they get lost and other communication services. However, not all customers want to have the service even if they have the devices installed in their cars.

1. Call OnStar's customer service number at 1-888-466-7827 or contact OnStar by email by filling out the "Contact Us Via Email" form on the OnStar website.

2. Press the number 5 on your telephone if you want to cancel the service because you no longer own the 2008 Chevy Colorado.

3. Press the number 6 on your telephone if you want to disconnect the OnStar service even though you still own the vehicle.

4. Give your account or subscription information to the customer service representative, who will cancel your subscription.

5. Cancel your OnStar subscription with the customer service representative and OnStar will be disconnected from your 2008 Chevy Colorado.
