How to Find a House for Sale by Address

You don't need to be a sleuth to find a house for sale by address.

Not too long ago one needed the services of a real estate agent to find information about a particular house for sale. Today, most of the information a potential buyer, or just the curious, could want is listed on the Internet. Specialized real estate websites now exist on which real estate agents post information and photos about their listings. This makes it easy for the general public to search for a particular house by address.

Instructions

1. Get on the Internet and navigate to one of the real estate websites such as Zillow, Trulia or Realtor.com.

2. Click on "For Sale." All three of the websites feature a way for you to narrow your search in this manner.

3. Type the name of the street, the city, state and ZIP code in the appropriate text boxes. Hit "Enter" to bring up the information on the home.

Tips & Warnings

• If your search does not return the house you are looking for, try the search again, omitting the house number and using only the street name.
