How to Use an iBook to Watch DVDs on a TV
The Macintosh iBook comes equipped with external video support capabilities. The iBook features an AV-Out port that is compatible with any TV that uses component inputs. Use the included Apple AV Cable to make the connection to your TV's input panel. Once you connect the iBook to your TV, you can use its DVD drive to watch DVDs on your TV.

Locate the Input panel on the rear of your TV and find the composite Inputs. They look like small circles with yellow, white and red colorings.

Insert one end of the cable into the composite audio/video port on the side of the iBook.

Plug the other end of the cables into the composite "Audio-IN" and "Video-IN" ports on your TV's input panel.

Turn on your TV and press the "Input" or "TV/Video" button to select the appropriate input. The image from the iBook's screen will appear on the TV when the correct input is selected. The words "Component" or "AV" may appear in the corner of the TV screen.

Insert a DVD into the iBook's disc drive. The iBook will transmit the video and audio from DVD to the TV.
