How to Configure Bluetooth on an Acer 6920

The Acer Aspire 6920 comes with built-in Bluetooth technology that can be used to establish wireless connections with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, including cell phones, PCs, printers, speakers, keyboards, mice and others. Upon making a connection with another computer or cell phone, you can share files and folders wirelessly. Setting up and configuring Bluetooth on the laptop is simple.

Instructions

1. Press the "Bluetooth" button beside the keyboard among the other application buttons. This turns on Bluetooth on your Acer 6920 and the button flashes blue.

2. Set up the other Bluetooth device (for instance, your phone) so the computer can find it. Make sure the device has Bluetooth enabled and is on "discoverable" mode. On most of the devices, you must go to the "Menu," "Settings," "Bluetooth," "On," then "Discoverable." The options may differ depending on the device.

3. Go to the "Start" menu on your computer.

4. Select "Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound," and "Bluetooth Devices."

5. Click "Add." A Bluetooth setup wizard walks you through the configuration procedure.
