How to Setup IMAP Email on Exchange 2003
Exchange server offers email hosting servers for IMAP and POP3 clients. If your host provider uses an Exchange server, you can set up your IMAP email on the Exchange server using Microsoft Mail. Microsoft Mail is a free software program included with the Windows operating system. It is a convenient email client to set up and retrieve your messages hosted on a server, either on the Internet or in a corporate environment.

Click the Windows "Start" button. Click "All Programs" and then click "Windows Mail." This opens your email client where you set up the mailbox for IMAP Exchange server services.

Click the "Tools" button and then click "Accounts." Click "Add" to open a configuration window. Click "Email Account" on the first configuration screen and then click "Next."

Type your full name in the text box on the next screen. Click "Next." Type your email address in the following screen's text box. This is the address for the Exchange account. Click "Next."

Choose "IMAP" in the protocol drop-down and enter your incoming and outgoing email servers. These are provided by your Exchange server manager or host provider. Click "Next."

Type your user name and password. This gives you authorization to download your unread email and send new email through the Exchange server. Click "Next." Click "Finish" on the final screen to complete the settings.
