How to Get Rid of Acne Whiteheads
Once bacteria and oil become trapped under the skin's surface, a whitehead can appear. Whiteheads, medically known as acne pustules, are filled with pus. The center of a bump will appear white and it often becomes infected. You can prevent whiteheads by cleaning your skin regularly and properly. Things You'll Need
- Cooking pot
- Towel
- Tea-tree oil or benzoyl peroxide
- Oil-free cleanser
- Exfoliating scrub

Open your pores with steam. Boil a pot of water on the stove and pour it into a bowl. Cover your head with a towel and place your face close to the bowl. Allow the steam to hit your face. Stay in this position for five minutes.

Apply tea-tree oil or benzoyl peroxide directly to the whiteheads. Soak the end of a cotton swab in the oil and then apply it to the whitehead. Repeat this treatment twice a day.

Wash your face with a cleanser twice a day, morning and night. This will remove any excess bacteria and oil from the face.

Apply a gentle exfoliating scrub once a week.

Consult a dermatologist if you notice that the whiteheads are not clearing up or your skin becomes irritated.
You can purchase tea-tree oil and benzoyl peroxide at most health and beauty stores.
Avoid popping your whiteheads. This can leave behind a blemish or make the area appear redder.
