How to Create Custom Car Paint Online

Open your computer's Web browser. Visit a car paint shop that offers custom-blended paint.

Enter the make, model and year of your car to view paint chips available for that car. View the different finishes that paint color comes in, such as enamel, lacquer or urethane. Click on the paint chip (or mouse over it) to get a closeup of that color.

View several paint chips, noting the colors of chips you like. Each color has a specific code. Write down the code numbers you like.

Understand that color varies from one Web browser to another. If you have a second Web browser installed on your computer, check the colors in that browser. Or visit an auto paint shop and request paint chips. Provide the color codes you like, then view physical samples of the color.

Choose your custom paint from an online auto paint shop. Complete the order on line. Provide your personal information, credit-card information and the amount of paint you need.
