If your cell phone that you purchased comes with a SIM card, then you have another place where you can store information such as contacts, pictures and music that you use on a regular basis in your cell phone. The SIM card is designed to hold more data than a cell phone traditionally does, and you can remove the SIM card when it is full or if you need to get a new phone. Move information from your phone to the SIM card so that you can store it all in one place.

Instructions

      Save your phone's contact information on your SIM card. Go to your cell phone's phone book and select the name and number you want to save. Press the phone's "Menu" button and select "Copy to SIM Card." Click "OK" to save.

      Track important text messages by saving them to your SIM card. Choose the text message that you want to save and select it. Press the phone's "Menu" button, then press "Copy to SIM Card." Click on "OK" to finish copying the information over.

      Save a picture to the SIM card by going to the pictures in your phone and highlighting the one you want to save. Press your "Menu" button and press "Save to SIM Card."
