My CD Player Won't Eject a CD

The CD player that is in a computer can be used to play music or load programs onto the hard drive. A stuck disc tray will render the CD player unusable. There are a number of procedures that can be used to eject the disc tray of the CD drive so that it can again be used--none of which requires additional software as the procedures are built into the operating system.
