Instructions

    • 1

Buy one small terracotta plant pot for each guest. Completely cover the pots with craft paint using a sponge applicator or a paintbrush. Choose paint featuring a vibrant and festive color, such as cherry red, sunny yellow, grass green or bright orange. Allow the pots to dry thoroughly.

    • 2

Decorate the painted pots with a variety of decorative craft items. Place a dab of hot glue on flat-backed gems, beads, buttons or rhinestones and press them onto the pots. Grasp the decor items with tweezers to avoid getting burned by the glue. Place the sparkling decor items all over the plant pots but leave the rims undecorated. Adhering stickers to the pot is another decorating option.

    • 3

Use stencils and craft paint to write each party guests' name on the plant holder rims. Hold letter-shaped stencils up to the plant pot rims and fill them in using a fine paint brush and a paint color that contrasts with the pot.

    • 4

Line the decorated plant pots with a sheet of tissue paper. Allow some of the tissue paper to peak out of the top of the pot. Customize the tissue paper color to reflect the party theme.

    • 5

Fill the decorated plant pots with candy such as gum drops, gummy bears, gum balls, jelly beans or chocolate-covered caramels.
