HD set-top boxes can deliver high-definition channels over a coaxial cable.

Set-top boxes are devices used by cable TV providers to deliver more channels than can be delivered over a traditional coaxial cable. If you have a Teac high-definition cable box that for whatever reason was not installed by your cable TV provider, you can have your set-top box connected and working in no time.

Things You'll Need

  • Coaxial cable
  • HDMI or component cables

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the coaxial cable from your wall cable outlet to the coaxial input on the back of the Teac set-top box. Screw on the coaxial connector until it is hand-tight.

    • 2

Attach the HDMI cable or component cables from the appropriate output on the back of the Teac box to the corresponding input on your TV.

    • 3

Set the TV to receive signal from the set-top box by using the input selection control, usually labeled "input," "source," "TV/video," "TV/AV" or the like. For instance, if you used an HDMI cable plugged into your TV's HDMI 1 input, press the input selection control until the TV displays the HDMI 1 input. You are now ready to watch high-definition programming through your Teac set-top box.
