How to Remove Skype From a Mac

Skype is an online phone service that lets you call another person's computer. Skype lets you add contacts, organize contact lists and video-chat with your contacts if you have a webcam. You may need to uninstall Skype from your Mac, due to stability problems, a bad installation or just because you don't need the program anymore. The Macintosh interface makes it fast and simple to remove programs like Skype.

Instructions

1. Exit Skype if it is currently opened. Double-click the "Macintosh HD" icon on the desktop.

2. Click the "Applications" button under "Places."

3. Scroll down and find "Skype." Click on "Skype" and drag it to the "Trash" icon on the main dock.

Tips & Warnings

• You can delete your Skype user information as well by going into your library folder and deleting the Skype folder.
