How to Burn Sega CD-ROMs

Burning your backup Sega CD-ROMs might seem troublesome if you are trying to burn the ROM as a data file. CD-ROM files are stored in ISO disc images that need to be burned in a special way. However, in Windows 7, you can burn an ISO image into the correct type of CD so that it will play properly. You do not need any additional software to burn a Sega CD-ROM. Once burned, you will have a backup copy of your original disc.

Instructions

1. Locate the Sega CD-ROM on your hard drive. Click "Start," then "Computer" then double-click your "C" hard drive. Navigate through the folders until you find your Sega CD-ROM.

2. Right-click it and select "Burn disc image."

3. Insert a blank CD-R into your disc drive.

4. Select your "Disc burner" from the drop-down menu if you have more than one.

5. Select "Verify disc after burning" if you want to use disc verification. Click "Burn" to burn your Sega CD-ROM.

Tips & Warnings

• If you do not own the original disc it is illegal to make backup copies of your Sega CDs.
