How to Change the Dollar Into a Euro
Before a trip to Europe, one of the most important things for a traveler to accomplish is to convert their American dollars into euros, the currency that is used there. Converting money over should be done while still on American soil, as the exchange rate is generally better and you will get more euros for your dollars. Make sure to estimate how much money you plan on spending and convert that amount before your trip.

1
Consult the current exchange rate from a dollar to a euro. Use a website with either a listing of the current exchange rate or an actual conversation calculator. For example, if the exchange rate is 1 dollar / .75 euros, that means for every dollar you convert, you get .75 euros.

2
Go to your bank or to an exchange kiosk at the airport. All places that are changing dollars to euros should have the same exchange rate, but make sure it compares to the exchange rate that you calculated previously online.

3
Give them the amount of dollars that you want converted into euros. They will convert the currency and give you euros for your dollars. You will then be able to use your euros on your trip into Europe.
