Instructions

    • 1

Boot up your computer running Ubuntu.

    • 2

Plug the USB drive into the computer. The USB drive should be at least 1GB in size. Backup and delete any existing files on the USB drive since this process will erase and overwrite the drive's partitions.

    • 3

Run "usb-creator" from the command line.

    • 4

Select the disc image (.iso) from the Disc Image drop-down list box at the top of the "Make USB Startup Disk" window.

    • 5

Select the drive from the "USB Disk to Use" drop-down list box in the middle of the "Make USB Startup Disk" window.

    • 6

Click the "Make Startup Disk" button. The USB-creator application will create a bootable startup disk on the selected, external USB drive.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you notice two partitions on the USB drive during the start-up process, this is a known bug. Try booting from each partition and one should work. If not, try rebooting your machine and re-starting from the USB stick.
