How to Get the Address Bar Back Onto Internet Explorer

All web addresses (URLs) are entered and stored in the address bar. When entering a web address, the name of the website and the full length of the address are displayed in the address bar. The address bar can be moved around Internet Explorer, resized or hidden entirely. However, it cannot be removed entirely. There is always a way to find or re-enable the address bar. This is only applicable to Internet Explorer 6 and earlier. As a security measure by Microsoft, the Internet Explorer 7 and 8 address bar does not move and is always in the default position.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open Internet Explorer.

    • 2

      Click "View" and select "Toolbars."

    • 3

Click "Address Bar" to place a check next to it. The address bar will return to its default position at the top of Internet Explorer.
