How do I Replace an Electric Ignition Element in a Dryer?
The main components of a clothes dryer are the motor, the drum and the heat source. The motor's function is to rotate the drum which contains the clothes while the heat source blows hot air. Depending on the age and the location of the dryer, the heat source will be either electric or gas-based. For electric dryers, if the drum spins but fails to heat up and dry the clothes, this usually means there is a problem with the heat source and it is time to replace the switch. Does this Spark an idea?
