How to Play MP3 Player in Hyundai Sonata
You can listen to your MP3 player through your Hyundai Sonata's speakers with either an FM transmitter or cassette-tape adapter. And newer Sonatas have an auxiliary input to connect MP3 players.
Instructions

Connecting With a Cassette-Disk Adapter or FM Transmitter
-
1
Connect the audio jack into the headphone input on your MP3 player.
-
2
Insert the cassette tape into the car's cassette player, if you're using a cassette-tape adapter. If you're using an FM transmitter, plug the large end of the transmitter into the car's cigarette lighter.

3
Press "Play" on your MP3 player, if you're using a cassette-tape adapter. The music will begin to play through the speakers in your Sonata. Look at the FM-transmitter User's Manual to see which FM station the radio must be tuned to. Tune your radio to the required FM station and press "Play" on your MP3 player to begin playing the music.
Connecting With an Auxiliary Cable
-
4
Connect one end of the auxiliary jack into your MP3's headphone input. Both ends of the auxiliary jack are identical, so it doesn't matter which end you connect.
-
5
Insert the other end of the auxiliary jack into the Sonata's "Aux" input. The input is located on the same panel as the audio controls.
-
6
Press "Play" on your MP3 player. The music will begin to play through the car's speakers.
