Instructions

    • 1

Loosen the carpet closest to the urine stain. Peel the carpet back to expose the carpet padding. If the urine has soaked to the carpet padding, cut the stain from the padding with scissors.

    • 2

Spray a pet stain cleaner on the sub-floor or the flooring below the carpet padding. Allow the cleaner to remain on the flooring for 20 minutes.

    • 3

Wipe the cleaner from the floor with a damp rag. Dry the flooring with a clean rag.

    • 4

Pour 2 tbsp. sealer onto the flooring and rub in with a clean cloth. Apply additional sealer if needed depending on how large an area you need to seal. Allow the sealer to dry.

    • 5

Cut a sheet of plastic the size of the cut out area of the padding and lay it onto the flooring.

    • 6

Cut a piece of foam to fit into the padding. Lay the foam on top of the plastic sheeting.

    • 7

Replace the carpet back over the padding and tack it back down.

    • 8

Spray the urine stain with the pet stain remover and leave on for 20 minutes. Dab at the stain with a damp cloth, removing it from the carpet.

    • 9

Rinse the carpet by wiping it with a clean wet cloth.

    • 10

Direct a fan toward the wet area of carpet to aid in drying.

    • 11

Sprinkle baking soda over the entire carpet after it has dried. Leave the baking soda on the carpet for 20 minutes, then sweep away.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use ammonia to clean cat urine as cats are attracted to the ammonia scent and will continue urinating on the same spot.
