How to Polish Mercedes-Benz Aluminum Wheels

Having polished aluminum wheels does not require a special trip to an auto detailer. Restoring the shine to those wheels can be achieved with some time and hard work. While some people may suggest home remedies, there are a variety of automotive products dedicated to wheel cleaning and metal polishing. One of these polishes, plus a pair of rubber gloves and some clean towels will do the trick.

Things You'll Need

  • Rubber gloves
  • Microfiber towels
  • Aluminum polish

Instructions

    • 1

      Pull on a pair of rubber gloves.

    • 2

      Dab aluminum polish onto a clean microfiber towel.

    • 3

      Rub the polish onto the wheel in a back-and-forth motion.

    • 4

      Check the towel for black residue; this indicates that the polish is working.

    • 5

      Wipe the polish off the wheel with a different clean microfiber towel. Continue this process until the whole wheel is clean.
