How to Remove Web Pages
The web pages that make up your website often become old and obsolete as time passes. Not only is outdated content a sign that your site suffers from a lack of attention, but these website files also take up unneeded space on your web host. Consider doing some maintenance to get rid of the virtual garbage. Use the tools in your web host account to remove the web pages you prefer.

Bring up your web host's website and log in to your account.

Locate the "Control Panel" option on the page that appears and click on the "File Manager" link or button.

Click the "Public_HTML" or "Public_WWW" folder. This area contains all of your website files and displays them in a list.

Click on the web page name that you want to remove. Review the page contents, which automatically opens in a separate window, and make sure that this is the page that you want to trash. Click the provided "Delete" link to remove the page from your host.

Use your computer's text editor application to launch any web page documents that contain a link to the deleted web page. Locate the anchor code, which looks like "<a href="http://www.website.com">web page</a>," and delete any instances of this entry. Save your file to preserve your changes.

Tips & Warnings
Check other online areas that you manage, such as a social networking profile, to ensure that the page does not contain a link to the removed web page. If it does, delete the anchor code (Step 5) to remove it.
