How to Play DVD RAM on a Computer

How to Play DVD RAM on a Computer thumbnail
Some DVD-RAM discs need a cartridge, but most newer versions can be accessed without one.

DVD-RAM is not as popular as other DVD formats and is not as widely used as DVD+R(W) and DVD-R(W). It does have advantages over other formats, however, and is widely used by media professionals and in DVD-based camcorders because it allows for on-the-fly editing. Most computers today have drives that are compatible with the format, but many older PCs may not support it. If your computer supports DVD-RAM, it can usually play the discs the same way it can play any other DVD format.
