The Canon PowerShot SX10 has a wide angle, 20x optical zoom lens and a variety of different shot modes. One prominent feature is the AF frame, which tells the camera where to focus for a photo. Normally centered, it can be moved to other areas of the frame.

The AF frame has two size settings, normal and small, which can be changed to alter the focus area.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the AF frame selection button, which looks like an addition sign inside a square. The AF frame will turn green when activated.

    • 2

Press the "DISP." button to switch between normal and small size settings. The size is set to normal when the digital teleconverter, digital zoom or manual focus is being used.

    • 3

Press the AF frame selection button again to confirm setting.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the AF frame is in the wrong position for your shot, you can move the area selected by pressing the AF Point Selection button and picking a spot with the four-way controller.

  • You can also press the "FUNC./SET" button to confirm settings.
