How to Remove a Contact Lens From Your Eye

How to Remove a Contact Lens From Your Eye thumbnail
Contact lenses are fragile.

Remove either hard or soft contact lens carefully. Incorrectly taking out the lens causes scratches or loss of the lens. Hard lenses need to be removed every day. Some types of soft lens are wearable for multiple days, but need to be removed for cleaning. Any time you remove a contact, whether it's for the night or to clean it, you need to have contact lens solution to disinfect the lenses. Otherwise, bacteria can travel to the contact and cause eye irritation or infection.
