Even though the iCal application is made exclusively for Apple computers, it supports a number of Windows based calendar programs and servers. iCal allows you to add Microsoft Exchange accounts so you can access other calendars and share information through the Exchange server. iCal even lets you designate regular time intervals to sync with the Exchange server, keeping your calendars up to date on all the computers and devices you use.

Instructions

      Launch iCal.

      Open the "iCal" menu and select "Preferences" from the drop-down list. The Preferences window will load.

      Select the "Accounts" tab.

      Click the "+" button in the lower-left corner of the window.

      Input your Exchange email account information in the fields that appear.

      Click the "Create" button. iCal will search the server find calender(s) associated with the Exchange account.

      Click the "Account Information" tab of the Accounts Preferences window.

      Click the drop-down arrow next to the "Refresh Calendars" field, then select how often you want the calendar(s) updated from the server.

      Click the "X" button in the top-left corner of the window to exit and keep the changes.
