Fax machines are a useful form of communication in an office setting.

Windows XP Pro has a built-in fax service for users that is available if the proper components and configurations are established on the machine. In order to use the fax service, a fax machine or fax-enabled printer must be attached to the computer and be in working order. Once the fax service has been enabled, the proper settings must be established to ensure that the fax machine works properly.
