How to Fix Silent Hill 5 for the PC

Silent Hill 5 is a popular game for both the personal computer and television gaming consoles. When playing Silent Hill 5 as a P.C. game, sometimes, the performance of the game depends on what system setting you have on your computer. Some system requirements to run the game can be adjusted, while others may need to be upgraded by a professional.

Instructions

1. Look through the Silent Hill game manual and check to make sure you meet the minimum system requirements to play the game on your personal computer. Upgrade your hardware if your computer doesn't meet minimum system requirements.

2. Remove and then re-install the game on your computer. The game data may not have installed properly causing the game to freeze or not to start. Choose the "Start" menu, "Control Panel," and "Add/Remove Programs."

3. Select "Uninstall" next to Silent Hill 5. Re-insert the Silent Hill disk back into the computer and re-install the game.

4. Reduce the video settings for the game. If the video settings are too high for the game, Silent Hill will run slower than normal or freeze completely. Right-click the desktop and choose "Graphics Properties." Select "Display Settings" and adjust the video settings on your computer.

5. Check the Silent Hill 5 gaming website if you are still having problems running the game. There may be drivers that need to be downloaded. Patches may need to be downloaded as well as a fix for problems or troubleshooting the games on certain systems.
