How to Fold a Calla Lily Napkin

Fold a napkin into the shape of a calla lily.

A linen napkin that has been folded into the shape of a calla lily will enhance a special occasion dinner. The height of the folded napkin, which is tucked into a wine glass, will add drama and elegance to a formal setting. The calla lily napkin fold is not difficult to master.

Things You'll Need

• Linen napkin
• Spray starch
• Iron
• Wine glass

Instructions

1. Spray the napkin with starch and iron until crisp.

2. Lay the unfolded napkin on a table in a diamond shape.

3. Grasp the napkin's right diamond corner with your right hand and fold the corner toward the opposite corner, stopping approximately an inch from the opposite corner, keeping the corner grasped in your hand.

4. Twist the tip of the grasped corner in a clockwise motion six times, creating a column for the lily stamen that is approximately 3-inches high. While the column forms, the bottom edge will gather and the calla lily flower will curve around the stamen.

5. Place the gathered bottom of the napkin in the wine glass
