Lighting Instructions for a Weber Gas Grill
Weber gas grills are an outdoor cooking alternative to the traditional charcoal grill. Weber gas grills use a propane tank to fuel the burners and cook foods evenly when operated properly. Lighting a Weber gas grill is done either manually or using the electronic igniter. Before lighting any gas grill, ensure that all fuel line connections are tight and there are no leaks. Open the grill lid fully. Ensure that the gas control knobs on the grill are in the "Off" position.

Turn the gas valve on the gas cylinder all the way counterclockwise slowly with your hand.

Push in the front burner control knob on the grill, and turn it to the "Start/High" position.

Press the red igniter button on the front of the grill with your finger. It may be necessary to press the igniter two or three times to ignite the burner. If lighting manually with a match, light a long wooden fireplace match and insert the lit end into the match hole on the front of the grill.

Turn the remaining burners to the "On" position once the first burner is lit. Adjust the knobs to the desired flame height.

Tips & Warnings
Grills vary but all have a hole on the face of the grill for inserting matches to light manually.
Control knob locations vary on grills. Light the front burner or the right burner first and then turn the others on.
Use caution when operating gas appliances. Propane is flammable.
