How to Get Super Glue Off of a Wood Floor
Super Glue is a fast-drying, heavy-duty adhesive that can bond a variety of surfaces and materials together. The strong adhesive can be difficult to remove when you accidentally drip, drop and spill it on a wood floor. It is best to remove Super Glue as soon as possible, becuase the longer the glue is allowed to sit on the wood floors, the harder the removal process will be. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Cloths
- Cotton balls
- Acetone nail polish remover
- Plastic paint scraper
- Towel

Wipe fresh Super Glue off the wood floors with a damp cloth.

Saturate a cotton ball with acetone nail polish remover. Place the cotton ball on the glue and press on it so acetone drips onto the hardened Super Glue.

Allow the cotton ball to sit on the glue for several minutes. The acetone nail polish remover will soften the Super Glue, making removal easier.

Scrape the softened Super Glue off the wood floors with a plastic paint scraper.

Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 until you have removed all Super Glue from the wood floors.

Wipe the acetone residue off the wood floors with a damp, soapy cloth. Wipe dry with a towel.

Tips & Warnings
Test the acetone nail polish remover on an inconspicuous area of the wood floors. If damage or discoloration occurs, discontinue use.
