How to Travel Between Bristol & Minehead, UK
There are a number of ways that you can travel between the city of Bristol and Minehead in the UK. Whether you're using your own car or public transportation, it is a relatively quick and pleasant journey, and you will take in some of England's finest countryside views.

By Car

Take the A4 out of Bristol city center.

Turn onto the A4018 and continue past the University of Bristol.

Bear left onto Queen's Road; the B3129.

Turn right onto the A369 at the traffic signals and take the first exit onto the M5 to "The South West" when you reach the roundabout.

Leave the M5 at junction 23 and at the roundabout and take the third exit onto the A38.

Take the second exit onto the A39 at the Cross Rifles roundabout and proceed into Minehead. The journey should take about an hour and a half.
By Train and Bus

Take a train from Bristol Temple Meads main line train station to Taunton. Check Nationalrail.co.uk for train times.

Get off the train at Taunton and make your way to the bus stop outside the station.

Catch the number 28 bus to Minehead which leaves every 30 minutes. The journey should take you less than two hours and will cost £14,30 as of 2010.
By Coach

Catch a National Express coach to Taunton at Bristol Coach Station. Check Nationalexpress.com for coach times and availablity.

When you reach Taunton, you'll have to wait for up to an hour for a connecting service.

Board the next service for Minehead. The whole journey will take around four hours and cost £13.25 as of 2010.
