How to Upgrade Tivo Series 2 to Tivo HD
The hardest part about investing in electronics is that they can either malfunction or become outdated. A TiVo Series 2 records television shows and can download movies from Amazon on Demand, among other things. But it can't record in high definition or access some of TiVo's third-party features, such as a TiVo HD or TiVo Premiere. There are two ways to acquire a HD-quality TiVo: purchase the hardware at full price or replace the old TiVo using TiVo's upgrade program. The upgrade program rewards customers who have been a customer for at least one year by providing discounts on new TiVo hardware.
