Directly sync up your mouse with a Bluetooth-based computer.

A Bluetooth mouse and keyboard directly sync up with your computer system, allowing you to hook up the equipment without a cable connection. This reduces the clutter typically found in the back of a computer, giving you clearer access to the system connection ports. However, if your Bluetooth mouse and keyboard are not functioning correctly you do need to troubleshoot the problem to determine what exactly is causing the issue.

Instructions

    • 1

Replace the batteries in the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. If the batteries begin to fail the mouse and keyboard are not detected by the computer system.

    • 2

Check the power on the Bluetooth equipment. Locate the power buttons on the rear of the mouse and in one of the corners of the keyboard; the mouse and keyboard must be turned on in order for the computer to detect the hardware.

    • 3

Install the provided drivers onto the computer. Without the drivers the computer is unable to read the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Insert the driver installation CD, and then follow the prompts to set up the drivers on the computer.

    • 4

Sync the hardware back up with the computer. If the mouse and keyboard are no longer synced, the system is not going to detect the equipment. Click on "Start," "Control Panel" and "Bluetooth," choose "Add new equipment," and then select the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to complete the sync process.
