How to Configure Ubuntu Screensavers
Ubuntu is one of the most popular distributions of GNU/Linux. Ubuntu is designed to take much of the technical aspects of Linux and make it more user friendly. In this regard, Ubuntu may seem quite familiar to those who are already accustomed to working with different operating systems, such as Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows. Adding to this level of comfort is the ability to configure different screen savers for when the computer is idle.

Click the "Preferences" menu at the top of the screen.

Click "Control Center."

Double-click "Screensaver."

Click on the screen saver you would like to set. By clicking on a screen saver, a preview is created.

Adjust the computer idle time setting. This is how long the computer must remain idle before the screen saver is activated.

Click the "Close" button to save the settings.

Additional screen savers can be installed through the Software Management utility.
