Record Delphi XM2Go on a Mac.

The Delphi MyFi XM2Go Portable XM satellite radio receiver is a hand-held satellite radio device. The Delphi XM2Go can play satellite radio broadcasts, and it has a "line out" connector to attach to speakers, a stereo or other audio systems. You can connect the XM2Go to a Mac computer's "line in" port and capture the satellite radio streams. On a Mac, it is possible to capture any audio played through the operating system. This operation does require third-party software, but there are multiple shareware products available.

Instructions

    • 1

Install audio intercept software. There are three professional options available for OS X: "Audio Hijack Pro," "WireTap Studio" and "SoundTap." All three are available as shareware with a free download and trial.

    • 2

Connect the "line out" of the XM2Go device to the "line in" of your Mac. You will need a cable with "mini" 1/8-inch connectors on both ends. The "line out" on the MyFi device is labeled clearly. On your Mac, the "line in" port will have a small icon with two triangles pointing toward the center of a circle.

    • 3

Configure the intercept software to capture the "line in" audio on your Mac. The process will differ slightly from product to product, but you will want to specify that "line in" is recorded.

    • 4

Capture audio and save it to a file. The exact specifications of the captured audio and the capture location can be specified in the preferences of your selected intercept software.
