How to Use the Internet to Find & Compare Grocery Store Prices

Researching grocery store prices online will help save you money.

People are always looking for ways to save money and the grocery bill provides simple ways of reducing the amount of money you spend. Thanks to the Internet, you can go online and compare grocery prices at the stores you wish to visit before you make the trip. Many grocery stores offer coupons online that can be printed directly from their websites to save you even more money.

Instructions

1. Make a list of all the items that you would like to purchase from the grocery store. Write the names of the stores that you want use in your price comparison.

2. Go to the website of the first grocery store and locate the items you wish to purchase. Add these items to your shopping cart. This will help you keep tabs on the items you've found and their prices. Once you've found all the items on your grocery list, select the "View Shopping Cart" option. This will provide you with your grocery bill total. Make a note of this total. While you're online, search for any coupons that you can use to reduce your grocery bill total for the first grocery store. If you find any, subtract that discount from your current total.

3. Go to the website of grocery store number two, locate the items from your grocery list and add them to your shopping cart. Once you've found all the items from your grocery list select the "View Shopping Cart" option to view the total of your shopping cart. Write this total down. Look for any coupons on website number two that could be used to reduce your grocery bill even more. If you locate any, print them and subtract them from your total.

4. Repeat the same steps mentioned above for all the stores you wish to compare. Once you've completed your search, compare all the store prices and decide on which store you wish to visit.
