How to Make a Flash Ecard
Flash e-cards are digital, animated cards sent by email. The cards feature text, music and animation customized for the recipient. As postal mail costs rise steadily, sending an e-card is cost-effective. There are many online sites that allow users to customize and send flashing cards for free. A variety of card categories and styles means there's something that's bound to work for the occasion at hand. Pick out a card, fill out the information and send it out to let somebody know you care.

Visit a free e-card website such as Egreetings, Carlencards or Regards. Click on the section of the website that says "Select a Card." The wording may vary from site to site, but it is generally along these lines. All of these sites offer free e-cards, but some offer both paid and free. If there is a difference, most sites specify it in the category header.

Scroll through the category titles to find one that works for the occasion. Examples of categories include birthday, holiday and mother's day. Choose one that seems closest to the reason why you're sending the card.

Look through the cards contained in that category. Click on any card to view the animation. Select a card that fits the occasion and has content you like.

Fill out the information for the recipient. This information varies from card to card but generally includes name, email address and sender name and email address. Review the card with the new customized settings. If it looks good, select "Send."
