How to Upgrade My Nvidia Geforce 6150 Card

Upgrading a video card doesn't necessarily mean spending money to purchase and replace the video card you currently have. Most graphic card makers offer frequent software updates to the drivers for their cards that can improve their performance. Nvidia does this from its driver download website (see References). The upgrades are completely free.

Instructions

1. Access the Nvidia driver download website (see References) and insert the information about your graphic card. Note: if you have the Geforce 6150, then you have to put Geforce under "Product Type," Geforce 6 Series under "Product Series," Geforce 6150 under "Product" and the operating system you are currently running under "Operating System."

2. Click "Search" and Nvidia will search for the latest driver downloads for your graphics card.

3. Click "Download" if Nvidia has any upgrades for your graphics card. If Nvidia doesn't have any recent upgrades, then it will inform you.

4. Click "Run" when a pop-up appears asking if you want to run or save the download. The software will automatically update your Geforce 6150's drivers.
