By restricting the Apple network, only users who have the password can use your wireless network.

Instructions

1. Click "Go" at the top of your Mac's screen and click "Utilities." Click "AirPort Utility" and click the name of your wireless router in the side window.

2. Click "Continue," and click the "Password" field. Type a password that includes numbers and letters, and click the "Verify Password" field.

3. Enter the same password entered in the "Password" field, and click the "Remember this password in my keychain" box. Click "Continue" and click "I want to create a new wireless network." Click "Continue" and enter a name for the wireless network.

4. Click "WPA/WPA2 Password," and enter a password for the wireless network. Click "Continue" and uncheck the box next to "Enable guest network."

5. Click "Continue" and select your Internet connection method. Click "Continue" and "Update" to save the AirPort settings. The network will now require a password to permit user access.
