How to Update BIOS Firmware
Occasionally, computer and motherboard manufacturers release Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) firmware updates. Firmware is the term used to describe the BIOS software. Update your BIOS firmware if you notice problems after changing your operating system or even your system hardware. BIOS firmware works similarly to other types of software, meaning the firmware is only compatible with specific operating systems and hardware types.
