Apple iPod Download Instructions
iTunes is the content manager for your Apple iPod; it stores your music, videos and forms of media on your computer and allows you to transfer the content to your iPod when the media player is connected to your Mac or Windows-based PC. Whereas iTunes was available on a software CD that came with earlier iPod models, current iPods direct you to the Apple website to download the iTunes software. By downloading the iTunes program from the Apple site, you are guaranteed to have the latest update of the program to ensure device compatibility.
