Instructions

    • 1

Crack the egg into one of the mixing bowls. Beat it into a frothy yellow consistency.

    • 2

Add the cornstarch to the other bowl.

    • 3

Remove the shells and tails from the raw shrimp.

    • 4

Roll the raw shrimp around a bit in the egg mixture.

    • 5

Drop the raw, egg-coated shrimp into the cornstarch. The egg coating gives the cornstarch a way to adhere to the shrimp.

    • 6

Add the peanut and sesame oil to the skillet and turn it on to a medium setting. Let it warm up for five minutes.

    • 7

Drop the cornstarch-coated shrimp into the aromatic oils. Let them cook on each side for four minutes. This cooks the shrimp thoroughly while giving the coating a golden brown appearance.
