How to Make & Order Labels for Beverage Products
Product labels are easy to produce for beverage businesses. Many printers, both online and local, are able to print beverage labels based on a design file that you provide. Work closely with your printing company to ensure you have the design file in their preferred format. With a little creativity, you can design and order the beverage labels and have your product ready for retail quickly.

1
Design the label using your favorite design software. Photoshop is a good option and is widely accepted by many printers. Leave a bleed area of at least 1/8-inch around the perimeter of the label. The printing company can provide you with specific bleed and file requirements.

2
Contact several printers both local and online. Request a quote by specifying the label size, quantity, and number of colors. Some online printers are relatively inexpensive because they operate through the Internet; however, since the cost of shipping labels can be expensive, also ask local printers for a quote. Compare the quotes and choose the printing company, which will provide you with the best value of quality and price.

Deliver your design file to the chosen printer either on a disc or electronically through email or file transfer site. Specify the number of labels that you want and your desired time frame. Some printers require that you pay upfront and others will send you an invoice.

4
Review a proof provided by your printer before you officially order the labels. After reviewing the proof, provide notification to the printing company that the labels are ready for production or make changes as necessary.

Tips & Warnings
If you are unsure how to use the design software, hire a graphic artist to help you. Ask the graphic artist for a copy of the label in useable format so that you can make minor adjustments if necessary.
