How to Embed a PowerPoint Into a PowerPoint

When creating a presentation in PowerPoint, you may wish to add another PowerPoint file into your presentation. This easily accomplished by linking the two presentations together. There are several ways to link PowerPoint presentations, but if either of the files is moved, the linkage breaks. To prevent link breakage, you must embed one PowerPoint presentation into another.

      Open PowerPoint and then open your main presentation by clicking the "Microsoft Office" button and selecting "Open." Navigate to the folder containing the file. Click the file and select "Open."

      Click the "Insert" tab and select "Object" in the Text section. Select the "Create from File" button that is located on the left side of the Insert Object dialog box. Click the "Browse" button.

      Navigate to the location of the presentation you wish to embed. Select the file and click "Open." Click "OK." The first slide of your presentation is shown as a thumbnail.

      Open the embedded presentation by double-clicking the thumbnail. To have the embedded presentation open automatically, click the "Animations" tab and then "Custom Animation." Select the thumbnail and then select "Add Effect." Place your mouse over "Object Actions" and then select "Open." Click the drop-down menu labeled "On Click" and change it to "After Previous."
