How to Connect to Dish TV

Dish TV provides television service from a satellite signal.

Dish Network or Dish TV is a television service provider that streams service to your home via a satellite signal. While Dish TV offers a variety of different receiver boxes, the connection method is similar for each model. Connect your TV to Dish TV to begin playing the TV shows on your home TV. For HD and flat screen TVs, the best connection is achieved with an HDMI connection that delivers HD audio and video signals over one cable.

Instructions

1. Turn your receiver box around to locate the input panel. Locate the input panel on your TV. Connect the power source cable on the receiver box to a wall outlet.

2. Secure one end of the coaxial cable to the port that is connected to the satellite dish, and secure the other end to the "Satellite IN" port on the receiver's input panel.

3. Insert one end of HDMI cable into "HDMI" port on the rear of the receiver. The port looks like a thin rectangle.

4. Insert the other end of the HDMI cable into the "HDMI IN" port on your TV's input panel.

5. Press the "Input" or "TV/Video button to select the HDMI input.
