How to Block the Caller ID on a Text

You can send a text online without having to give out your cell phone number.

Sending a text to a person's cell phone is an easy way to communicate, but when you text with your cell phone, your cell phone number is visible to the recipient. However, you can send a text through a texting website where you do not have to disclose your cell phone number.

Things You'll Need

• Recipient's cell number and service provider

Instructions

1. Go to a text message website (see Resources).

2. Read the terms-of-use information.

3. Fill in the requested information, including the recipient's cell number, provider and the text message.

4. Verify that you typed the information correctly and press "Send." The next page will contain a confirmation notice.
