Things You'll Need
- Bucket
- Water
- Vinyl adhesive remover
- Long handle paint roller
- Plastic tray
- Long handle floor scraper
- Trash can
- Scrub brush

Loosen the paper and adhesive with hot water. Pour a bucket of boiling hot water (rubber boots will protect your feet) over a manageable area of about 5 square feet.

Allow the hot water to loosen the adhesive for about 5 minutes.

Use your floor scraper to scrape up the paper and adhesive. As you remove the paper and adhesive, dump it into a nearby bucket.

Remove the residual adhesive. Pour the adhesive remover into a plastic tray. Dip the paint roller in the adhesive remover and roll it on the floor. Allow the adhesive remover to dissolve the residual adhesive for 15 minutes or the amount of time recommended by the manufacturer.

Scrape up any thick layers of adhesive with your floor scraper. Mop up the rest of the remover and adhesive.

Move on to the next section of the floor.
